Imperial Ranger Pleco
The Imperial Ranger Pleco (Pterygoplichthys sp "Rio Nanay") is a beautiful, rare addition to the planted or community aquarium. This species is still unidentified, but they are so adorable you have to have one!
They do like caves, driftwood and overhangs to reside in/on. These are wild caught specimens, we are told they only get to about 4" in length, but since they are fairly new to the aquarium world, we aren't certain they will stay this size until we grow some out ourselves!
Their diet consists highly of vegetable and plant matter, along with small amounts of meaty foods like bloodworms, krill and shrimp. Veggie wafers, herbivore diets and frozen foods fed closer to "lights out" will be appreciated.
They need to have excellent water quality, so please make sure to provide them with these conditions so you will have a stunning fish to add to your aquarium!
